about

As always, for Abes.

Music is the radiant goddess of love
Sprinkling the drops of love,
The seeds of authenticity and truth.
Playing drums is metaphysical
Singing is an outflow that mellows and electrifies as the body trembles.
Poetry is the fuel gauge of an esthetical vehicle
The power of ethic truth and spirit
Shadow etching memory
A shade of me.
From “The Perfect Crime” by Trevor Clements

This project, the second instalment (hopefully, in a series that will continue for many years to come), has a legacy to follow and a lot to live up to. With the help of many, I believe this it has the potential to reach another level and raise awareness, contributing to the fight against caner across Canada. There are countless people who are deserving of thanks for their contributions to this album, especially the families and friends of loved ones inflicted with the disease, whose patient support is uncomparable and who keep alive the memories of those who inspire us, give us courage, and who drive us to live life large everyday. Thank you for your part in making Conduct Becoming “2002” a success.

-Bridget Gould, Co-Executive Producer

Leadership is empowering ourselves and our communities to move towards common goals.

Leadership Mount Allison Steering Ground, November 2001

Leadership Mount Allison, and exciting program of enhanced student leadership development integrated throughout the curricular and co-curricular offerings of the University, is thrilled to sponsor “Conduct Becoming 2”.

“Mount Allison Voices Against Cancer” is a spectacular project which epitomizes Leadership Mt A’s definition of leadership and which exemplifies students effecting positive change in their present and future communities as family members, employees, and volunteers.

“Conduct Becoming” is one of seventy-four curricular and co-curricular projects involving hundreds of Mount Allison students approved for funding through Leadership Mount Allison in the first two years of the program.

The Producers would like to thank: Leadership Mount Allison for making this, and so many other incredible student initiatives more than simply dreams; Jonathan “Scooter” Clark for quite simply being the most generous man we know; Jon Epworth for having talent beyond words, and for bing willing to lend it to us for 100 straight hours; Ian Allen for giving unconditionally of himself, his time, and his immense talents; The Yellow Ribbon Society for their never-ending support and encouragement; Louise Articuk and John Holland for once again bringing us magnificent music; Andrew MacKinnon, Matt Oliver, Colin Petrykanyn and J.F. Coley: volunteers like you are what make this thing worthwhile; Catou MacKinnon and CBC Radio for spreading the word; Duplium Inc., Mount Allison Financial Services and Charlie Hunter: sorry about the headaches guys; Kim Johnston and the Sackville Tribune—Post for all the support, we’ll miss you Kim; The Flying ‘A’, Pizza Delight, and Cinemaniacs in Sackville, New Brunswick for helping spread the Mount Allison sound; Tantramar Interactive for their time and all the free lessons; The Tantramarsh Club and Tintamarre Studios, both provided this album and its producers with a home; and of course, the artists who contributed a little bit of themselves for the cause, the countless volunteers without whom this project would never have been possible, and finally, to all of you who have purchased this album.
